Melvin Carroll bass |
Melvin started playing music at the age of 13 with Homer Briarhopper and the Daybreak Show out of Durham, NC. Melvin played with Homer for about four years both on television
and at Homer's nightclub in Raleigh. Melvin then met up with future
KONNECTION bandmate Fred Donn at the 401 Opry House. He has played up
and down the Atlantic Coast for several bands. In 1984 Melvin joined the
Dalton Brothers Band and for 19 years toured with David Allen Coe, Hank Williams,
Jr., Charlie Pride, Neal McCoy, and others. He then joined CC Ryders in the early 2000s. Being the newest member of the
KONNECTION, Melvin feels he has finally found a home - not only with great musicians,
but real friends as well. |
