I started playing music on the road at the age of sixteen. I was playing all types of music, and at that time I played sax, guitar, and piano. I was very fortunate to meet and play with Ray Pennington.  Ray and I played together for 4 years until he moved to Nashville, Tennessee and begin writing BIG hit songs for the BIG country stars.  It was at that time that I started playing piano for blues legend, Lonnie Mack. After a year on the road with Lonnie, we were approached by Producer Carl Edmonson who was interested in signing us to a recording contract.  Later that year, we recorded "Memphis" on The King Recording Company label and the song went on to become #1 in the Nation. Later I moved on, continuing to play with many well known artists, opening and headlining shows all over the country.  I eventually moved to Smithfield,NC and began playing with the "Whiskey River" Band until their split in the early 2000's. I was blessed to meet with and eventually play with Dewey Young and Brian Ramsey on a couple of "one-time" shows. From there we started "Konnecting" with our other members;Doug Bass, Mike Brooks, and Kenny Holliday.
I feel very lucky and happy to now be a part of this wonderful band...THE KONNECTION.....Great people and Great musicians!
